Looking to do more with your AI knowledge? Consider becoming an auditor in AI. This session will highlight the auditing opportunities to utilize your AI expertise.

The learning curve of AI Systems developed, provided, or used requires many years of education and practical experience. For those that have achieved this or are in the process, what else can this knowledge be applied to? Compliance and Security concerns around the use of AI is rapidly evolving. To address this, ISO has released an auditable standard, ISO 42001:2023 and NIST has released an entire sector to AI which includes research, guidance, an AI risk framework, and the evolution of creating an AI standard.

For those building, or intending to build, AI systems, it will provide guidance for what to expect when your system is being audited (that is, the key things they will be looking for).

–Workshop Details –

With the bombardment of multiple contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements to prove Information Security, Cybersecurity, and Privacy of data, an organization can attempt to reduce risk through the implementation of controls from many different standards and frameworks. Without proper governance, monitoring, and continued improvement, the controls may get stale or not stay current with requirements and technology. The ISO 27000 family of standards provides guidance and a certifiable framework that ensures ongoing risk management of information assets to the level required of the organization.

Thank you to everyone who attended the March 4 Virtual webinar on CMMC—CUI data flow, with Tania Abella, PMP, RP.

Virtual webinar on CMMC—CUI data flow.

Instructor: Tania Abella, PMP, RP

In partnership with the Virginia APEX Accelerator, Radian is presenting this Free Webinar about CMMC—CUI Data Flow.

Webinar Description:
Identifying Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and its flow is necessary to determine the scope of an assessment by a C3PAO. CUI is created when information is put on paper or entered into an information system. The flow includes how information is received, what happens to it after receipt, where it’s stored, and where does it get sent. Consider the requirement in NIST SP 800-171 Control the flow of CUI in accordance with approved authorizations. Without having an understanding of how CUI flows, an organization cannot control the flow and ensure access is controlled.

This virtual webinar will provide tips and examples on how to identify and document the flow of CUI within your organization.

Your instructor, Tania Abella, PMP, RP, is a Cyber AB registered practitioner, and is Radian’s CMMC Subject Matter Expert (SME). Read Tania’s Bio.
She will be supported by Lisa DuBrock, CPA, CPP, and Sally A. Smoczynski, CISSP, Owners and Managing Partners of Radian Compliance, LLC.

“Benefits of Creating a DPIA
(Data Privacy Impact Assessment)
for your Security Environment”

Presented by Radian Managing Partner Lisa DuBrock, CPP and Brandan Keaveny Founder/Principal Consultant of Data Ethics.

Presentation Abstract
Protection of personally identifiable information (PII) is not only a regulatory requirement, but also a business best practice. This includes the PII that is captured and stored in applications used by security practitioners such as access control systems. Creation of a Data Privacy Impact Assessment (DPIA) supports the identification of processes and underlying PII elements obtained and stored by the organization. The DPIA further identifies the privacy risks, and the controls to mitigate these risks. This session will identify the role of a DPIA in your organization’s security framework, what a DPIA looks like, and how to utilize the DPIA when looking to mitigate the risks of a privacy breach.
